What an exciting day in the toddler room!
This morning William brought in a poster with photos from his trip to Thailand. The toddlers were very interested in where Thailand is in the world that Chloe used the globe to explain where Thailand is in the world. From this the children spoke to Chloe about how they live in Australia and helped Chloe find Australia on the globe. William then told his friends about the different animals he saw, including riding an elephant and holding a turtle!
The toddlers have had a good morning with the trucks and diggers in the mud that we set up. The toddlers enjoyed playing and making noises that the trunks and diggers, using their fine motor skills to make them moving them around the mud. In another back toff with all different kinds of bugs and the toddlers helped put sand and water in it. They moved the bugs around in the sand water and splashing them around.
Inside the toddlers enjoyed moving around the puzzle table, using the trains in the construction area and the dentist area. The children enjoyed building with the boxes moving the trains along it.
The children then split into two groups. Some of the children went over to the preschool yard and played with babies, putting clothes on them and putting them to sleep. The children also enjoyed sliding down the hill and the slide. The toddlers then built their own cars with blocks and moved them around the yard.
The other group stayed inside and used their fine motor skills using paint brushes with water colours to paint their clean health, good health certificate’s and “Be a brush a lot a mus “photo sheet to .By doing this activity the children further developed their eye condition throughout this activity. Using blue, purple and pink paint Amber asked the toddlers to paint their interpretation of trees and flowers. While participating in this activity the children spoke to Amber about what they were painting and what colours they were using. Through this activity the children engaged in sharing as they swapped paint brushes with everyone.
After lunch the toddlers did a group time with Chloe and sang some songs. Their favourite “sleeping little bunnies” there toddlers really enjoyed getting involved choosing different animals and were laughing along with their peers just before they went off to bed.
