Both of them are coming leaps and bounds very quickly and it is quite hard keeping up with noting their milestones!
Toby is 21months:
He is speaking many words, simple phrases like "Hi mate"!, knodding and shaking his head to questions, following simple directions to get things or pack up etc. feeding himself from a spoon or fork pretty well and scootering like a pro!
His life is FOMO(Fear Of Missing Out) and so tries to keep up with the big boys! He has limited fear and was just going down a large slide at a party on the weekend, he climbs anything he can and likes to jump, dance and play..
His favorite shows seem to be Emma, Dorothy, Wiggles and playschool. He loves to read books and is constantly bringing books to someone to read.. he knows his animals and noises and is always happy to tell you them!!
He is very social and loves daycare, interacting and playing with other kids… chases balloons, throws balls and jumps on the trampoline with lots of gusto!!
He is a mans man and LOVES daddy, poppy and Pa Pete! Though is a great cuddler and mummy is his fav at night for snuggles..
Will has just turned 4:
He is a little conversationalist these days and is very inquisitive.. he asks lots of questions and takes EVERYTHING in…
Days later he can spit out something he may have seen, heard or been told and it is amazing to hear him with Toby giving directions or simply talking with him..
He can be quite rough at times and has his moments of tantrums and screaming when he doesn't get his way… his current favorite words are "poo" and "fart" as most boys his age.. though he is mostly a very endearing, caring and gentle friend.. he generally cares that others are ok and enquiries into other people's fate…
He is mostly a good big brother teaching Toby all he knows, just needs some reminding to be gentle and share at times as they all do! You can hear him explaining things to "Tobes" and he makes sure he understands and if not, he will explain again.. he has good patience for that actually, it is rare he becomes frustrated or irritated when helping others..
His latest is "Yeah Tobes? Yeah Tobes…. you want to do that"? It is very cute as then Toby can be seen knodding his head in agreement with his big bro! 👨❤️👨
He currently LOVES riding his bike, 2 wheeled scooter and doing jumps, building lego, trains, buzz lightyear, monster trucks, cars and anything that involves running and sports.. he also LOVES helping dad with big boy things like mowing the lawn, washing the car, blower Vac'g, having a little ride and sitting on the motorbike… he is a great helper!!
He has been so good with moving out of his bedroom and in with Toby whilst Nanna and Poppy have been staying with us.. This morning I over heard him say to Granny Jude "Nanna will be ok as it's just a small operation!"
He has been accepted into harbord kindy next year so will attend 2-3 days and therefore will see his time at OAC finish though he is on a new adventure and will make other friends before moving to big school and kindy on 2019!!
They really are both our delights and we wouldn't have life any other way than busy with boys currently!!
