The end of a great weekend

This weekend Bel and I got away for a little ‘time out’ and went North (through and into the rain!) to see Nice and Greg in Long Jetty, then onto a beautiful weekend at Tanilba Bay, near Nelson Bay. No photos, it was a magical weekend 🙂

Life Ain’t Fair

Today I had a particularly shithouse day. My patient was a 33 year old woman who lost her battle to cancer today, she was married and had come on a little holiday/reprieve and had fallen ill quite suddenly on Sunday. She passed away (quite peacefully) at 2:45pm today, but it was hard…her family were SUCH nice people. RIP RM.

By Any Means – A ride with Charley Boorman!

What an INCREDIBLE day to say the least!!!
I managed to find out that Charley Boorman (the other half of Ewan McGregor’s series ‘The Long Way Down and The ‘Long Way Round’ was in Sydney and organising what turned out to be a MASSIVE motorbike convoy from Freshwater Beach up to Frazers Beach near The Entrance on the central coast. What a blast. The local newspaper did a story on it too, with a few snaps – http://manly-daily.whereilive.com.au/news/story/charley-s-convoy/

 Take a look at – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWpcmPR3wBM (we appear at 1min 31secs) 🙂

More photos to come, but this is my fave from the day. Me and Charley:

By Any Means – Tomorrow, May 18th 2009

This afternoon I feel like a child the night before Christmas Day! Tomorrow I am participating in a FANTASTIC event! Charley Boorman, the other half of the ‘Long Way Down’ and ‘Long Way Round’ series with Actor and fellow motorycle enthusiast Ewan McGregor (who won’t be there tomorrow) is riding his motorbike from Freshwater Reserve (only a few minutes from where we live!) up to the Central Coast to Frazers Beach.
To say I’m excited would be an understatement!

Here’s a little blurb about it:

Monday May 11, 2009

A busy few days again. Jude’s Breakfast on Sunday for Mum’s Day, lots of post processing in the middle of the day, followed by a walk with my beautiful wife, then a dinner with Mrs T in Manly.

Today (Monday) was a 12hr shift at Vinnies. Not a bad shift, ended up with a 3rd year nursing student to teach all day, tiring but ok.  Tonight I spoke with Steve Chambers who’s made a fantastic PSCS3 script for SMP images…go Steve!

A great day, followed by a great night!

Bel helped Geoff out today at Maroubra for the Mitchell family photo shoot, what fun! 4 adults with 5 kids, all under the age of 5! Wow. We got some helium balloons and had some fun at the end of Torrington Rd, Jack Van Reserve. Beautiful headland, amazing light and lots of fun, laughs and photos! After that we had a brilliant night again with Craig, Katie, Paul, Rachel and Scarlett! Bring on Mum’s Day!

Liesl & Ryan’s Wedding!

A big day today! Liesl and Ryan’s wedding to be shot by Geoff and Special Moments Photography. This wedding has been planned almost entirely from Scotland by the bride and groom. I’m really excited – it’s going to be a fantastic day, and the weather is looking great too!
